In spite of what you may have heard, money is not the root of all evil. The Bible does not say that. Rather, what it says is that the love of money is the root of all evil (I Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5).
Jesus was not anti-money. Rather He saw that money had its place or use. In fact, Jesus often spoke of money in His parables. (Matthew 6:24; Luke 7:42; 16:13)
The Bible as a whole teaches us that money should be used wisely, and that the Lord (who owns everything) should be given His due. Jesus also taught that it was not the amount that mattered, but what was inside a person that counts.

Jesus probably said it best when He said to give Caesar that which is belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God. (Matthew 22:21; Mark 12:17; Luke 20:25)
